Four U.S. Capitol Police officers were assaulted in 2007, 1 of whom sustained injuries.
Type of activity
All the assaulted officers were assigned to patrol or guard duty at the time they were attacked.
Weapons
- Most of the officers (3 of the 4) were assaulted with personal weapons, such as hands, fists, or feet.
- 1 officer was assaulted with a firearm.
Dispositional information
Four suspects were identified in the assaults on U.S. Capitol Police officers. At the time of this report:
- 3 suspects were awaiting trial.
- Prosecution was declined for 1 suspect.
