Males accounted for 81.2 percent of the arrests for violent crimes.
Of persons arrested for property crimes, 62.6 percent were male.
Males comprised of 89.6 percent of all persons arrested for murder in 2009.
Of the total number of persons arrested for drug abuse violations, 81.4 percent were male.
Females accounted for 43.7 percent of all persons arrested for larceny-theft offenses in 2009.
