In 2008, individuals under the age of 25 accounted for 44.3 percent of all persons arrested.
Persons under the age of 25 accounted for 45.8 percent of all arrests for violent crime and 56.0 percent of all arrests for property crime.
Persons under the age of 25 accounted for 49.9 percent of those arrested for murder and nonnegligent manslaughter and 66.2 percent of those arrested for robbery.
In 2008, persons under the age of 15 accounted for 26.2 percent of all persons arrested for arson, the highest percent distribution for this age group of all offense categories.
