  • In 2006, when compared with the 2005 data, arrests of males in metropolitan counties increased 0.8 percent. Arrests of females increased 0.7 percent.
  • Arrests of male juveniles increased 3.4 percent, and the arrests of juvenile females decreased 0.1 percent.
  • The number of arrests of males for violent crime increased 0.8 percent, and arrests of females for violent crime increased 0.5 percent.
  • Arrests of male juveniles for violent crime increased 4.3 percent, and arrests of female juveniles for violent crime declined 3.0 percent.
  • In 2006, the number of arrests of males for property crime declined 2.2 percent, and arrests of females for property crime decreased 5.3 percent.
  • Arrests of male juveniles for property crime increased 3.3 percent, and arrests of female juveniles for property crime decreased 5.8 percent.
  • When 2006 data are compared with the 2005 data, arrests of females for driving under the influence increased 10.0 percent in metropolitan counties. Arrests of female juveniles for driving under the influence increased 10.6 percent.
  • Arrests of females for drug abuse violations in metropolitan counties increased 2.3 percent, and arrests of males for these crimes increased 1.7 percent.
