Mr. Kortan: "Director Mueller has taken major some major steps to make the FBI a much more effective intelligence agency.”

Mr. Schiff: That’s FBI Deputy Assistant Director Mike Kortan...

Mr. Kortan: "He’s created an intelligence function within the FBI.  We strengthen our partnerships with law enforcement in this country and our counterparts around the world.  And we’ve made information sharing a top priority.  Now information sharing is a given.”

Mr. Schiff: Kortan says a huge part of history is the FBI’s Top Ten program that started in 1950...

Mr. Kortan: "The Top Ten list was created to bring the public into FBI investigations in a bigger way because we greatly depend on the support and cooperation of the American public.”

Mr. Schiff: About 94% of the Top Ten fugitives have been caught or located.  I’m Neal Schiff of the Bureau and that’s what’s happening at the “FBI, This Week.”
