When the FBI is called upon to investigate a crime scene or to assist with incidents ranging from the criminal use of hazardous materials to hostage situations, we rely on the expertise of our dedicated and highly trained personnel. They, in turn, more often than not rely on technology to help them succeed in their missions. From small robots to large mobile communications vehicles, from delicate fingerprint brushes to computers capable of creating three-dimensional facial images, the Bureau has an array of sophisticated equipment and highly trained employees ready to be deployed at a moment’s notice anywhere in the world.

Some of that technology was on display recently at our Quantico, Virginia facility, when our Science and Technology Branch hosted a demonstration featuring the response capabilities of the Laboratory, Operational Technology, and Criminal Justice Information Services divisions.
The event was designed to provide our law enforcement, public safety, and private-sector partners with an inside look at our operational capabilities. The photo gallery (above) offers a snapshot of the exhibit, and in many cases links accompanying the captions will lead you to more information.
